SIZES:
This pattern includes sizes 1 (2, 3, 4), designed to fit a head circumference of 51 (54, 57, 60) cm / 20 (21.25, 22.5, 23.5)“ with approximately 5 cm / 2” of negative ease for a snug fit. The sample shown in the images is size 2, modeled on a head circumference of 53 cm / 21”.
For the sample, I used the suggested yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Arroyo, a luxurious sport weight, 100% Superwash Merino that offers an incredible softness and warmth. Each 100 g skein provides approximately 305 m / 334 yd, beautifully showcased in the stunning “Old Rose by Lisa Hannes” colorway, which adds a charming hue to your outfit.
GAUGE AND NEEDLES:
To ensure the perfect fit and look for your Old Rose Hat, aim for a gauge of 26 stitches and 35 rounds to measure 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ in the brim ribbing while using 3.25 mm / US 3 needles. For the cable-rib pattern, the gauge is also 26 stitches, but with 32 rounds to achieve the same 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ using 3.75 mm / US 5 needles.
