Ori (and the Blind Forest)
Are you a fan of the stunning platform-adventure game *Ori and the Blind Forest*? Developed by the talented Moon Studios and published by Microsoft Studios, this game has captured the hearts of players since its release in 2015. If you’ve enjoyed the enchanting world of Ori as much as I have, you’ll want to bring this magical creature into your own home. I couldn’t find any Ori merchandise when I started playing, so I decided to create my own unique knitted version of Ori, and I’m excited to share the pattern with you!
Now that the highly anticipated sequel, *Ori and the Will of the Wisps*, is here, having your very own Ori figure can enhance your gaming experience even further! Imagine having a soft, adorable Ori figure cheering you on as you navigate through the challenges of the new game. The best part? Knitting your own Ori will provide you with as much joy as playing the game!
For this project, I used Lana Grossa Baby Soft fleece yarn in white (color code 01) to create a gorgeous, textured Ori. You’ll need a pair of 2 mm double-pointed sock needles (UK size 14, US size 0) with a length of 10 cm to get started. A single ball of 50 grams (150 m) yarn is usually sufficient to complete your delightful knitted figure. The soft texture of the fleece yarn gives Ori a smooth, fine appearance that truly brings the character to life! To ensure that Ori stands tall and proud, we used pipe cleaners to provide additional structure, and the extra-long tail adds to its stability.
This pattern is perfect for knitters of all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out in the world of knitting. With clear instructions and tips throughout, you’ll enjoy the process of creating your very own Ori plushie. So gather your supplies and get ready for a fun and creative adventure that combines your love for knitting with the whimsy of *Ori and the Blind Forest*!
