Outlander inspired Grey black stripe green shawl pattern / chale
Introducing our stunning Outlander-inspired shawl knitting pattern, perfect for advanced beginners looking to create a beautiful, intricate piece! This easy-to-follow pattern is written in English, with a French version coming soon to cater to our diverse knitting community.
The finished shawl measures approximately 189 cm (74 1/2") in width at the top and 84 cm (33") in length at the mid-back, making it a versatile addition to your wardrobe.
For this project, you will need a total of 7 skeins of Drops Nepal yarn from Garnstudio. This luxurious yarn is composed of 65% Highlands Peruvian Wool and 35% Alpaca, providing a soft, warm feel that is perfect for cozying up in cooler weather. Each skein weighs 1.8 oz (50 g) and offers approximately 82 yards (75 m) of yarn in a 10 ply / aran / worsted weight.
Here’s what you’ll need: 4 skeins in color no 0506 (Dark Grey mix), 1 skein in color no 8903 (Black), and 2 skeins in color no 8906 (Forest Green) to bring your vision to life.
Although the recommended needle size for this yarn is US 8 / 5 mm, for this particular Outlander shawl pattern, we recommend using 7 mm circular needles or long straight needles to accommodate all the stitches comfortably.
Make sure to check your gauge: 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm) should equal 13 stitches by 26 rows in Garter Stitch. This ensures your shawl turns out just right and fits beautifully.
