Introducing my latest free sock design that I’m excited to share with all knitting enthusiasts! The Parallel Lines Sock has been thoughtfully crafted to offer a stylish and tailored fit, making it perfect for wearing with sneakers or trainers. You will love the comfort it provides!
This sock design is not only quick to knit but also incredibly economical, using only 50g of leftover yarn to create a complete pair of socks (note that I have small feet, UK size 3). It's an excellent choice for those looking to maximize their yarn stash while creating something beautiful.
The construction of the Parallel Lines Sock features a charming picot cuff, a sturdy heel flap, and a simple yet engaging K3, P3 rib pattern for the leg. This makes it an ideal project for knitters wanting a straightforward and satisfying knit between other larger projects or to creatively use up those leftover skeins in your collection.
When it comes to yarn selection, the sky is the limit! Any 4ply/fingering weight sock yarn will work beautifully, and the pattern's gauge is 9 stitches per inch when measured over Stocking Stitch using 2.25mm needles. This ensures that your socks not only look fantastic but fit well too.
The Parallel Lines Sock is designed to accommodate a foot circumference of 8 1/2 inches, with the added bonus of adjustable foot length. So, whether you prefer a snug fit or a bit more room, this pattern can be easily customized to meet your knitting needs.
