Party Tree Shawl
Discover the enchanting beauty of the Party Tree Shawl, a large lacy shawl designed with clover and tiered-leaf motifs that beautifully evoke the picturesque meadow and the iconic Party Tree. This delightful setting is where Bilbo and Frodo Baggins celebrate their shared birthday in the first chapter of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. This shawl is not just a piece of knitting; it embodies the spirit of friendship and celebration found in Middle-earth.
The pattern is currently available in charted format only, with plans for written instructions to be added later. All intricate lace patterning occurs exclusively on the right (public) side of the fabric, while all wrong-side rows are simple, purled resting rows, making it perfect for both experienced knitters and adventurous beginners alike.
The Party Tree Shawl serves as a larger laceweight counterpart to my popular Silvertree Shawl. It features right-side-only patterning that showcases elongated diamond-shaped sections adorned with charming clover motifs, alongside a more elaborate and captivating edging that adds an extra touch of elegance.
Note: Please be aware that this pattern has not yet undergone test-knitting by anyone other than the designer, ensuring you have a truly unique and original experience as you create your masterpiece.
