This pattern was carefully crafted to utilize those delightful little remnants and is also an ideal way to use up leftover yarn from previous projects. The handspun mitts are designed to fit an Adult M size due to the yarn’s density, while mitts constructed with commercial yarn will fit an Adult S size. However, you can easily adjust the size of your mitts to better accommodate your handspun yarn of differing wraps per inch (wpi). Simply add or subtract multiples of 4 stitches to achieve your desired size (for the k2p2 ribbing style)—2 stitches for the palm and an additional 2 stitches for the back of the hand, positioned between the gorgeous cable detail and the thumb.

For an extra touch of creativity, feel free to reverse the cable direction on the left mitt to create a mirrored effect, making your project even more personalized and visually stimulating. This feature allows you to give each pair of mitts a unique twist!
