Knitting Needles:
For this project, you will need one 29" circular needle in size US 10 (6 mm) or a size that helps you achieve the required gauge. Using the right needle size is crucial for creating your knitted piece to its intended dimensions.
Gauge:
To ensure a perfect fit, your gauge should be 14 stitches = 3¾" [9.5 cm] and 16 rows = 4" [10 cm] in the Cable and Lace Pattern after blocking. Remember, taking the time to check your gauge will save you time in the long run by preventing any adjustments later.
Errata:
Attention knitters! In the pattern printed in The New Prayer Shawl Companion, please note that the chart pattern repeat is one stitch smaller. You will need to adjust this by moving the right edge of the box one stitch to the left. When following the chart, work across the entire row once, then repeat it, omitting the first 8 stitches to achieve the correct pattern.
