About the Design: This versatile knitting pattern features both super bulky and bulky weight versions, tailored for small child, medium child, and medium ladies' sizes. The super bulky weight options promise warmth and coziness, while the bulky weight versions cater to two girls’ sizes with finished circumferences of 17.25" and 20.5", and a depth of 4" to 4.5". Perfect for quick projects or gifts, this pattern embraces various yarn choices to suit your crafting needs.

For the super bulky weight versions, I used Cascade Yarns Eco+, holding it triple for a plush finish. In the case of the bulky weight girls' versions, I opted for Eco+ held double, along with Lamb's Pride Worsted yarn, also held double. Feel free to mix and match with bulky or super bulky weight yarns of your choice, ensuring that you achieve the correct gauge for the best results.

When selecting yarns, remember that they must be NON-superwash and either 100% wool or a wool blend that includes a natural fiber, such as alpaca, in order to achieve the intended fulling effect. Avoid synthetic fibers and superwash wool, as these will not full properly and may affect your finished project.

Super Bulky Gauge: For the unfulled version, the gauge is 10 stitches and 16 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch using 3 strands of Eco+ or 2 strands of Alpaca Boucle, paired with size 11 needles or any size that meets this gauge.

Bulky Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 14 stitches and 20 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch with either yarn and size 10 needles, or adjust to any size necessary to meet the gauge. As always, to save time and ensure your project turns out as intended, be sure to check your gauge before getting started.
