Discover the art of knitting with this beautifully designed beanie pattern, perfect for knitters of all skill levels. This beanie is crafted using easy stranded colorwork techniques in a spiral formation, allowing for a stunning visual effect. The pattern cleverly incorporates stitch multiples: a multiple of 8 stitches minus one shifts the contrasting color line to the left, while a multiple of 8 stitches plus one nudges it to the right. This thoughtful design detail ensures that you can customize the beanie's appearance to suit your style and preferences.

We’ve included two stylish options for you: a longer, slouchy beanie topped with a playful pompom, or a shorter, more fitted beanie, allowing you to choose the style that best fits your vibe. This beanie is intended to be worn with approximately 4-6 cm (or 1½-2¼ inches) of negative ease, ensuring a snug and comfortable fit.

Our samples are knitted using Cleckheaton Superfine Merino 8 ply, which is made from 100% Australian Superfine Merino wool. Each 65g ball offers 130 meters (or 142 yards) of soft, luxurious yarn that is perfect for both warmth and style.

For the Main Colour (M), you will need 1 x 65g ball or approximately 65, 75, 85, 95, or 105 meters (72, 83, 94, 105, or 116 yards) for the slouchy beanie. For the fitted version, estimate about 60, 65, 70, 80, or 85 meters (66, 72, 77, 88, or 94 yards).

As for the Contrast Colour (C), you will again require 1 x 65g ball, with an approximate yardage of 60, 70, 80, 90, or 100 meters (66, 77, 88, 99, or 110 yards) for the slouchy beanie, or about 50, 55, 60, 70, or 75 meters (55, 61, 66, 77, or 83 yards) for the fitted beanie.

Additionally, if you’re considering adding a pompom, you’ll need around 40-50 meters (or 44-54 yards) of extra yarn. This beanie pattern not only brings joy to the knitting process but also results in a fashionable accessory that you can wear or gift to loved ones.
