Basic Pattern Information
- This pattern is designed to be knit in the round, making it perfect for creating seamless and comfortable garments.
- Skills required include knit (k), purl (p), slip stitch (sl), slip slip knit (ssk), knit two together (k2tog), and purl two together (p2tog).
- Our project is worked top down for easy fitting and adjustments as you go along.
- While the pattern is written for five double-pointed needles (DPNs), experienced sock knitters can easily adapt the instructions to their preferred methods, such as the magic loop technique or using two circular needles.
Recommended Yarn
For the best pattern definition, we recommend using a solid color yarn or a long repeat variegated yarn. Yarns with short color repeats tend to obscure the intricate design, which can diminish the visual impact of your finished piece.
Additionally, we suggest selecting yarns with at least 2 plies, as these will provide the durability needed for a hearty sock that can withstand daily wear. Be cautious with single-ply yarns, as they tend to wear out more quickly and may not hold up to frequent use.
