Finished Size:
Approximately 20" in circumference and 8" high, this beret fits comfortably while providing a chic, slouchy look.
Yarn:
For this project, we recommend using The Plucky Knitter Bello (a luxurious blend of 55% merino and 45% cashmere, with 380 yards per 105 grams). You will need one skein in the gorgeous color "Shrieking Pines." Keep in mind that you'll be holding the yarn double, so adjust your yardage accordingly as exact yardage may vary depending on your knitting style.
Needles:
You'll need a size US 8 (5.0mm) 16" circular needle and a set of double-pointed needles (dpns) along with a US 6 (4.0mm) 16" circular needle. Remember to adjust your needle size if necessary to achieve the correct gauge for the best results.
Notions:
A tapestry needle will also be required to weave in your ends and complete your project seamlessly.
Gauge:
Achieve a gauge of 24½ stitches and 32 rows per 4" in the Cable Pattern. One complete "Plaits and Pines" repeat measures approximately 3¼ inches. To save time and ensure proper measurements, we highly encourage checking your gauge before beginning.
