The shawl is designed to be worked flat in one continuous piece, beginning from the top right corner. As you knit across and downward, you’ll create an enchanting asymmetric triangular shape. The unique construction involves two increases at the beginning and one decrease at the end of every right-side row, resulting in a stunning and playful design that shows off the beauty of your chosen yarns.

Needles & Notions: To complete the Playful Shawl, you will need 6 US / 4 mm circular needles, ideally 24 inches (60 cm) long to accommodate the increasing stitch count. Use these needles, or choose a needle size that helps you obtain gauge. Additionally, a tapestry or yarn needle is essential for weaving in those pesky yarn ends. A stitch marker can be used if desired to track your rows more easily.
Gauge: Achieve an attractive tension with a gauge of 18 stitches and 36 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch, after blocking. Knitting to gauge will ensure your shawl turns out beautifully and has the intended drape.
