Discover the art of knitting with our delightful Poetry Mitts pattern, expertly crafted to be worked in the round, from the cozy cuff all the way to the elegant fingers. This pattern is designed for knitters of all skill levels and includes detailed written instructions along with easy-to-follow charts. To ensure your success, we also provide a helpful video tutorial, along with recommendations for washing and blocking your finished mitts for that perfect finish.

Gauge: Achieve a precise gauge of 28 stitches and 30 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in colorwork stitch, knitted in the round (after blocking), using US size 3.0 (3.25 mm) needles. Achieving the correct gauge is essential for ensuring that your mitts fit perfectly!

Yarn: For this project, we recommend using Rauma Finull yarn, which comes in a 50g skein with 175 meters of 100% Norwegian wool, or Shepherd's Choice yarn, which offers a 50g skein with 212 meters of 100% wool. To create one lovely pair of mitts, you will need approximately 25 grams of your main color and about 5 grams of each contrasting color for a pop of vibrancy.

Notions: Gather your knitting tools, including circular needles or double-pointed needles (DPN) in US size 2.5 (3.00 mm) and size 3.0 (3.25 mm). Don’t forget scissors, stitch markers, and a tapestry needle for weaving in those ends and finishing your project beautifully.

Techniques Used: Enhance your knitting skills as you master techniques like the long-tail cast on, working in the round, knitting and purling, colorwork knitting, and the art of increasing and decreasing stitches.
