The blanket is thoughtfully knitted in 2 separate pieces, which are then sewn together for a neat finish. Measuring approximately 55x65 cm after blocking, this blanket is perfect for wrapping around infants in carseats or for use as a cozy stroller cover. The design calls for DK yarn, and for my prototypes, I used about 480 meters of yarn for each piece. While the suggested yarn can certainly be substituted, make sure to pay attention to the total yardage since it can vary between different manufacturers.
For this project, my gauge was 20 stitches by 28 rows on 4mm needles, which was measured after blocking and across stockinette stitch. Achieving the correct gauge is important to ensure your finished blanket turns out beautifully, so be sure to check your tension before you begin.
