Power Socks

$1.67

Recently, I had a dear friend undergoing chemotherapy, and I wanted to create something special to keep him warm and comfortable during this challenging time. His hands and feet were always cold, so I chose to knit him a cozy sock as the perfect solution. This sock pattern is more than just a gift—it's a heartfelt homage to my friend, whose last name is Power.

Details: Since I didn’t have my friend's foot measurements on hand, I incorporated plenty of ribbing into the design to ensure ease of fit and sizing. The sock knits up quickly in a lightweight worsted yarn, using a tight gauge to create a durable and warm fabric. Featuring a princess sole, this design allows for a smooth interior—the purl side faces out, providing added comfort for the wearer. The only finishing required for this sock is the afterthought heel, making it a straightforward project even for those still developing their knitting skills.

Sizes: This sock pattern is available in multiple sizes: Women's, (Men's/Women's Wide, Men's Wide) to accommodate various foot sizes and ensure a comfortable fit for everyone.

Flat Measurements: The flat measurements are approximately 3.5 (3.75, 4) inches. Because these socks are knitted from the toe up, adjusting both width and length to achieve a perfect fit is a simple task.

Gauge Information: You may notice the gauge appears a little unusual; this is because it is measured with a non-standard gauge pattern. With larger needles, I knit 19 stitches of 1x1 ribbing and 4 stitches of 2x2 ribbing for a total of 23 stitches. This yielded a measurement of 3 inches unstretched, giving you guidance for achieving the right tension and fit.

This knitting pattern for cozy socks is not only practical but also a thoughtful way to show compassion and care for someone going through a tough time. Whether you're an experienced knitter or just starting out, this pattern is designed to provide you with a rewarding project that warms both hands and hearts. Download the pattern now and start creating something beautiful and comforting for someone special!
