Primavera
It all began with a single skein of luxurious mohair yarn in a stunning hydrangea blue hue that instantly caught my eye. Mesmerized by its beauty, I had to purchase it, even though I wasn't quite sure how I would use it. The idea of knitting an entire shawl solely from mohair seemed daunting, but then inspiration struck! By pairing the ethereal mohair with a next-to-the-skin soft and squishy merino yarn, I crafted my super soft Primavera Shawl. This delightful shawl embodies the essence of spring, reminiscent of the warm rays of the sun as they touch the earth, coaxing delicate spring flowers to bloom.
In this beautiful design, the thick stripes symbolize the sun’s radiant rays, while the lovely floral border emerges from them, adding just the right touch of drape needed to make it lie perfectly on your shoulders. That’s why I named this shawl Primavera, which translates to "spring" in Spanish, celebrating the season of renewal and growth. A heartfelt thank you to Annuska (Swedutch) for the Swedish translation of this pattern!
