Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Dolls
If you loved my 2011 book, Knit Your Own Royal Wedding, celebrating the union of William and Kate, you're in for an extra treat with these delightful new additions! This time, I’ve designed a charming and more mature version of Prince Harry, now sporting a distinguished beard. He is beautifully accompanied by the stunning Meghan Markle, elegantly dressed in the gorgeous ensemble she wore during their engagement announcement.
The knitted Harry doll stands at approximately 23cm (9 inches) tall, while the lovely Meghan measures about 21cm (just under 8.5 inches). These adorable dolls are perfect for anyone looking to create a charming tribute to one of the most iconic couples in modern history.
To knit your own Harry, you will need approximately 40m (44 yards) of flesh-tone yarn for the main doll, 42m (44 yards) for his tailored suit, and additional yarns in smaller quantities to complete his look. For Meghan, gather around 37m (40 yards) of flesh-tone yarn for her doll and 16m (17 yards) for her exquisitely crafted dress, along with other yarns in smaller amounts.
Important: Please use only 100% wool, wool/acrylic blends, or premium acrylic yarns for the best results. Avoid using cotton, linen, or bamboo yarns, as they may not provide the desired texture and finish. Remember, you are welcome to mix and match yarn brands throughout your project!
