Princess Bonnet
Introducing my handcrafted version of the adorable bonnet famously worn by the new princess, born on May 2, 2015, to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. This charming bonnet pattern is "reverse engineered" from various photographs, allowing me to create my own unique interpretation of the original design. Please note that the lower hem is entirely my own invention, as it is not visible in any of the reference images. I do not claim to be the designer of the original pattern, nor did I knit the authentic bonnet worn by the princess. Instead, my version is simply inspired by what I observed in those delightful photographs.
The design closely resembles the one showcased in the images but includes an innovative twist: it can be worn in two different ways. This means you can easily flip it for a fresh look, giving you versatility for your little one. Whether you are an experienced knitter or just starting out, this pattern is perfect for anyone looking to create a beautifully crafted bonnet that pays homage to royal style. Join in on the fun and add this lovely bonnet to your knitting collection today!
