This instantly recognizable look inspired me to create a unique hat that serves a dual purpose: not only does it function as a hilarious earflap hat, but it also provides a warm and cozy wig for your Leia costume. Whether it’s for Halloween or everyday wear, this cheeky hat is sure to elicit chuckles and comments all season long! :)
This Princess Leia-inspired hat is thoughtfully constructed with two separate sides, expertly knitted flat from the top down. Once completed, they are sewn together to create a stylish middle seam, allowing the ribbing to extend from this seam along the centerline of the head. This design mimics the look of hair being artfully parted and pulled to each side, making it a fun and whimsical accessory. Finished Size: The hat boasts a circumference of 22 inches (11 inches wide when laid flat) and measures 8 inches from the top to the bottom edge of the cap portion. The delightful buns extend an additional 2.5 inches below the edge, making it a beloved piece suitable for both women and men. I’ve tested the fit on my own typical woman-sized head and my husband’s typical man-sized head, and it fits both comfortably! :)
