Reflejada Hat
Introducing the **Reflejada Hat**, a beautifully designed knit accessory that features a unique swinging cable around the crown and skillfully picked-up stitches for an elegant finish. This eye-catching hat is named "Reflejada" by my talented Spanish teacher and knitting enthusiast friend, Sarah, which translates to “reflected” in English. The design embodies modern craftsmanship while offering a cozy fit, and it is complemented by matching **fingerless mitts** also available in this collection.
Finished Size: The Reflejada Hat is available in three sizes, with a circumference of 20 (22, 24) inches when unstretched. Its versatile construction makes it easily adjustable to suit various head sizes, ensuring a comfortable fit for everyone.
Yarn: This pattern calls for **Dragonfly Fibers Djinni**, a luxurious blend of 80% Merino wool, 10% Cashmere, and 10% Nylon, totaling 420 yards / 113 grams. The sample knit is shown in the stunning colorway "Dragon Wagon." Please note that this specific yarn is discontinued; however, any high-quality fingering weight yarn will work beautifully. To best showcase the intricate cable patterns, choose tightly plied yarns for optimal definition and clarity in your work.
Needles: For this project, you will need a set of five **double-pointed needles** or your preferred method for knitting in the round. A size 3 US (3.25 mm) needle is required, or you may opt for a size that achieves the desired gauge.
Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 24 stitches and 32 rows in a 4” blocked stockinette knit in the round, ensuring your finished hat has the perfect fit and drape. Keep in mind that the cable chart repeats at a size of 2” x 3”, fostering ease of follow-through and accuracy in your cable work.
Whether you’re an experienced knitter or just starting out, the Reflejada Hat pattern offers an engaging knitting experience that results in a stunning finished product. Embrace the reflective beauty of this design and enjoy creating a piece that you’ll cherish for years to come.
