Relief

The meaning of the word "relief" comes from the Latin term "relevare," which translates to alleviate but also to raise. This dual meaning perfectly encapsulates the essence of this shawl, both in texture and in the significance of the day it was started—December 4, 2016, which coincidentally was election day in Austria.

Introducing the Relief Shawl: This stunning triangle-shaped shawl is crafted using DK weight cotton yarn, making it a perfect accessory for various occasions. The Relief Shawl pattern features delightful slip stitch cables and intricate texture, adding depth and interest to your knitting project. Knit enthusiasts can choose to work the cables with or without a cable needle; both methods are thoroughly explained in the pattern, ensuring a delightful and accessible experience for knitters.

This versatile shawl pattern offers flexibility in color choice; you can opt for a single color or showcase your creativity with two contrasting colors. Moreover, feel free to select any cotton or DK weight yarn that captures your fancy, but remember that the amount of yarn you need may vary based on your individual preferences and style.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate (Slip stitch cables required)
