Rhys Beanie
Who says that beautiful knitting designs have to be complicated? When I decided to elevate my brand by creating a unique logo for my tags, I envisioned an original hat that would perfectly complement my new signature tags. This vision gave rise to the Rhys Beanie, which was previously known as my HJK Signature Beanie. As one of my first knitting patterns, I've treasured this design for years but felt it was time to share it with fellow knitting enthusiasts! When I set out to design this pattern, I picked up my knitting needles and let my creativity flow, adding layers like a delicious cake. Although I originally envisioned something completely different in my beginner knitting brain, I fell in love with the unexpected outcome—it truly was a happy accident! The Rhys Beanie is not only stylish but also completely beginner-friendly, making it the perfect project for new knitters and seasoned pros alike. This pattern is specifically written for holding two strands of worsted weight yarn together, which creates a plush, cozy texture. However, if you prefer, you can also use a single strand of bulky (weight 4) yarn instead; this will alter the feel and drape of the finished beanie. Whether you’re looking for a quick gift or a striking addition to your own wardrobe, I hope you enjoy making the Rhys Beanie as much as I love wearing it.
