This project uses a DK weight yarn, requiring approximately 148 yards (135.5 meters) and 2.25 ounces (64 grams). For the sample, I selected Sew Happy Jane Yarn in Delightful DK, which is 100% Superwash Merino and boasts a vibrant colorway in Electric Raspberry. One hank (231 yards/211 m; 3.5 oz/100 g) will suffice to create this stunning hat.
Needles Needed
To craft the River’s Edge hat, you'll need a US4 (3.5 mm) 16” circular needle, along with five double-pointed needles (DPNs) as an alternative. Additionally, a US6 (4 mm) 16” circular needle and five DPNs will be necessary for the cable sections.
Gauge
