Rosebuds in Nice
This beautifully crafted top-down triangular beaded lace shawl draws its inspiration from the elegant rosebud lace pattern. When creating this stunning piece, knitters have the flexibility to adapt the design to achieve their desired shawl size by adjusting the number of pattern repeats from the rosebud or rosebud trellis charts. This versatility makes it perfect for knitters who want to personalize their project, whether for a special occasion or everyday wear.
Materials Required and Dimensions for the Two Sample Shawls:
Full-Size Cream Lace Sample Shawl:
* The shawl is knitted using 100g of Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace. Remarkably, just 2g of yarn remained after completion! If you're considering using less yarn or need to adjust the size, I highly recommend knitting fewer repeats of the rosebud chart (A) to optimize your materials.
* Tools: 2.25mm circular lace needles (100cm)
* Beads: Approximately 1200 size 8 Miyuki beads to enhance the delicate lacework.
* Finished Dimensions: The final, blocked shawl measures 37 inches (95 cm) deep along the central spine and 77 inches (190 cm) wide across the wingspan.
* For this full-sized shawl to achieve its elegant dimensions, the following pattern repeats were worked:
- 10 repeats of the Rosebud chart (A)
- 2 repeats of the Rosebud Trellis chart (B)
Embrace your creativity and elevate your knitting projects by crafting this exquisite shawl. Ideal for both novice and experienced knitters, this pattern not only showcases beautiful lace techniques but also allows for customization and personalization, making it a wonderful addition to your collection of knitting patterns.
