Roses Among the Leaves
Welcome to my knitting corner! I'm excited to share a stunning shawl pattern that I created using various stitch patterns from a Japanese stitch dictionary. This unique creation features an array of intricate stitches, with the rose section showcasing adorable cable stitches even on the wrong side rows, adding depth and dimension to your work.
For this beautiful shawl, I chose Malabrigo lace yarn in the captivating colorways of "Via" and "Pagoda," but feel free to select any lace weight yarn in your favorite colors. You can let your creativity shine by customizing this pattern to match your personal style. Throughout the process, I used approximately 600-700 yards of yarn—specifically 400 yards of green for the lush leaf section and around 300 yards of red for the stunning roses.
The finished dimensions of this elegant shawl measure 46 inches (116.84 cm) at the top portion of the triangle, with each side spanning 36 inches (91.44 cm). This makes it a perfect accessory for any occasion, whether you want to keep warm on a chilly evening or elevate your outfit with a splash of color.
To complete this project, you will need a size US 2 (2.75 mm) 32-inch circular needle, a cable needle for the cable stitches, stitch markers to help keep your place, and a tapestry needle for weaving in those pesky ends. These supplies will ensure that your knitting experience is smooth and enjoyable.
Thank you for stopping by to explore this pattern! I hope you find joy and inspiration in creating your own version of this lovely shawl. Happy knitting!
