Rosiris
This exquisite pattern is also featured in the [Crescendo Book][1]: an Eco-friendly e-book that includes 5 stunning shawl designs, perfect for knitting enthusiasts.
Introducing Rosiris, a beautifully seamless shawl that is knitted from the bottom up. This design showcases a charming flower stitch that gracefully flows from the edging to the upper body of the shawl, which is meticulously crafted with intricate lacework. Small flowers sprout from the main pattern, enhancing the shawl's overall appeal. The wrong side rows are purled, while the captivating right side artfully combines purls, knits, cables, and eyelets, creating a variety of interesting textures that elevate this graceful and feminine knit. One of the most appealing aspects of the Rosiris shawl is its customization potential: you can easily adjust the size by casting on more or fewer stitches or by adding or subtracting pattern repeats. Its elegant crescent shape is achieved through simple decreases, eliminating the need for short rows.
Materials Needed: You will need 410.3 – 471.8 meters (approximately 448 – 515.2 yards) of fingering weight yarn. For this pattern, I used 350 meters (382 yards) of Drops Delight yarn and an additional 60.3 meters (66 yards) of Malabrigo Sock, totaling 410.3 meters (448 yards). Note that I ran out of the Drops Delight yarn and found that the rich Malabrigo ochre color would complement the design well, though this pattern is originally written for a single color. For the best results, I recommend selecting a yarn that has a similar texture and weight for optimal drape and appearance.
