For the best results, you'll need 1 / 1 / 1 / 1 / 1 / 2 / 2 skeins each of 2 colors to achieve the lovely tweed/marl effect. Here are the colors used in our samples:
- Small Child: M16 Seafoam & M52 Spruce
- Medium Child: M38 Lotus Pink & M105 RPM Pink
- Large Child: M65 Sapphire & M79 Blue Boy
- Small Woman: M56 Clematis & M25 Garnet

Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 15 stitches and 22 rounds = 4 inches (10 cm) over Stockinette stitch using 2 strands of yarn held together and size 9 needles, or a size that meets this gauge. This ensures that your slippers will fit perfectly every time.
If you prefer to knit with a single color of yarn, you will need a total of 170 / 200 / 255 (290 / 345 / 400) to 475 yards per pair of socks, translating to approximately 1 / 2 / 2 (2 / 2 / 3) skeins. This flexibility in yarn choice allows you to customize your slipper socks according to your preference and available materials.
