September: Apple Washcloth

$1.50

Apple picking is one of my favorite autumn traditions since moving to Massachusetts, and it's something I look forward to each fall! There's truly nothing like biting into a crisp apple that you've hand-picked straight from the tree. This beloved seasonal activity can be enjoyed year-round with our delightful knitting pattern for a charming apple-themed dishcloth. This quick and enjoyable knitting project is sure to bring joy not only to you as you create it but also to those you share it with! Imagine gifting a beautifully crafted knit dishcloth to a friend or loved one—it's the perfect way to spread smiles and warmth this season.

NOTE: In this pattern, I prefer using a seed stitch border because of the appealing way it lays flat and the textured scrubbing power it offers. However, if you’d like a different look, you can easily swap it out for a garter stitch border instead. To do this, simply knit rows 1-3, knit the first three and last three stitches on rows 4-34, and then knit rows 35-37.

This versatile knitting pattern is not only ideal for dishcloths but can also be transformed into charming potholders or trivets. Additionally, it can serve as a lovely decorative piece for your table or shelf, adding a cozy touch to your home. Embrace the spirit of fall and the beauty of apple picking with this delightful knitting project!
