SIZES
This versatile pattern comes in two sizes: Adult Small/Medium and Large.
To Fit Head Circumference: 18-20 (21-24) inches, or 46-51 (51-61) cm.
Finished Brim Circumference: 17.5 (19.25) inches, or 44.5 (49) cm.
Finished Depth: 9 inches, or 49 cm for the Tam version, and 11.5 inches, or 29 cm for the Slouchy Beret.
The pattern is shown in the Tam version, which highlights its elegant design.
YARN
To knit the Tam, you'll need approximately 220 (260) yards or 200 (240) meters of fingering weight yarn. For the Slouchy Beret, prepare about 250 (290) yards or 228 (265) meters of the same yarn type. The sample was made using Posh Sylvia 4ply, a luxurious blend of 50% merino and 50% silk, boasting 440 yards/400 meters per 100 grams. For those who prefer a thicker, fuller-bodied beret, don't hesitate to opt for DK weight yarn to achieve your ideal fabric texture and heft.
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
