Yarn Requirements: For this project, we recommend using Quince & Co. Owl yarn, which is a luxurious blend of 50% American Wool and 50% New Zealand Alpaca. Each skein contains 120 yards (110 meters) and weighs 1¾ oz (50 grams). You will need one skein of Color A: Sokoke, and one skein of Color B: Tyto. Alternatively, you can use 55-75 yards (50-69 meters) of Worsted Weight yarn in two contrasting colors, totaling 110-150 yards (100-138 meters) for the entire project.
Needles Required: You'll need US size 7 (4.5 mm) 16" circular needles, or a minimum of 32” / 80 cm length for the magic loop technique. Additionally, have a set of US size 7 (4.5 mm) double-pointed needles (DPN) on hand for shaping the crown of your hat.
