Silvertree Shawl

Introducing the stunning Silvertree Shawl, a beautifully crafted leafy triangular shawl that draws inspiration from the captivating final volume of Susan Cooper's beloved The Dark is Rising sequence, Silver on the Tree. This exquisite design is also influenced by the enchanting sparkle of green yarn, making it a perfect addition to any knitwear collection.

This knitting pattern is currently available in a charted format, with plans to include detailed written instructions in the future for ease of use. The intricate lace patterning primarily occurs on the right side of the fabric, though each chart includes one wrong side (WS) row that features essential decreases for maintaining the shawl's shape and elegance.

Important Note: During the test-knitting process, we found that the entire 437-yard skein of Cascade Heritage Silk was required to complete the Silvertree Shawl. Therefore, checking your gauge is crucial. If you're worried about running out of yarn, consider using a slightly smaller needle or purchasing an additional skein to ensure you have enough material to finish your project without any stress.

The Silvertree Shawl is designed as a smaller fingering-weight counterpart to my popular Party Tree Shawl.
