Six Shades of Gray
If you're a knitting enthusiast, you've likely noticed the current trend towards gradient colors. When I stumbled upon these stunning six shades of gray from Marianated Yarns, I fell head over heels for their beauty. These intricate colors are perfect for creating a striking design that stands out.
Initially, I desired all six colors for my project, but realized I wouldn't require a full skein of each to bring my design to life. Fortunately, Marianated Yarns graciously offered to provide half skeins of each shade, making it easy to incorporate them into my work without excess leftover yarn.
To add a vibrant touch, I decided to introduce a pop of color with a lovely pink hue. The soft gray tones beautifully provide a backdrop, allowing you to easily substitute your favorite colors for a personalized touch. Whether it be a bold red or a soft blue, the choice is yours!
Exciting news! Marianated Yarns now offers these half skeins of gray as a convenient kit specifically designed for this project, available directly on their website. [Marianated Yarns][1]
Here's a breakdown of the Yarn Colors I used for this beautiful pattern:
- **Color 1**: Morning Mist
- **Color 2**: Drizzly Day
- **Color 3**: Steady Rain
- **Color 4**: Torrential Downpour
- **Color 5**: Build an Ark
- **Color 6**: Not Quite Black
- **Color 7**: Molly (my delightful pink pop-of-color)
This sample was made with Marianated Yarns' Scrumptious yarn in Fingering Weight, featuring six exquisite shades of gray in 50-gram skeins, with 215 yards per skein. Additionally, I used one skein of Scrumptious in the vibrant Molly (pink), which has 435 yards—though I only needed about 100 yards for my design.
