MATERIALS: You will need approximately 105 yds/96 m (or 110 yds/100 m) of worsted weight yarn. The sample mitts are knitted using madelinetosh Tosh DK in the color Esoteric and Patons Classic Wool Worsted in Teal.
GAUGE: Achieve a gauge of 22 stitches and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stocking stitch using larger knitting needles.
NEEDLES: Use 3.5 mm/US 4 needles for the ribbing and 4.0 mm/US 6 needles for the main fabric, or any size required to obtain the correct gauge. You can utilize double-pointed needles (DPNs) or a 32”/80 cm circular needle if you prefer the Magic Loop method.
