Spring Lace Socks
**Pattern Updated: May 7, 2021** – Experience my latest knitting sock pattern featuring a unique shadow wrapped heel that enhances both fit and style. These delightful socks are crafted using the popular magic loop method, which I will detail in this pattern description. You'll notice that I refer to two needles throughout: **Needle 1** refers to the instep, or front of the leg, while **Needle 2** pertains to the bottom of the foot or back of the leg. This pattern is designed for sourcing toe-up socks using Judy’s Magic Cast On technique, which provides an excellent foundation for your work.
Given the intricacy of the lace pattern, please be aware that these socks will have a looser fit compared to traditional stockinette stitch socks. It is highly recommended that you check your gauge or try on the socks as you progress, allowing you to adjust your needle size accordingly for the best fit.
**One Size Available Based on Gauge:**
- **7” sock circumference on US #0/2.0mm needles** – Fits actual foot circumference of **8-8.5 inches.**
- **7.5” sock circumference on US #1/2.25mm needles** – Fits actual foot circumference of **8.5-9 inches.**
To create these beautiful socks, you will need **50-100 grams of fingering weight yarn.** For your convenience, the sample pairs were made with **Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock** in the stunning colorway ‘Pistachio’ for the shortie style, while the tall socks feature **Three Irish Girls Adorn Lux** in a captivating shade called ‘Hydrangea.’ This pattern is perfect for knitters looking to enhance their sock-making repertoire with stylish, eye-catching designs.
