This stylish hat wouldn’t have existed a decade ago, highlighting just how far we've come in promoting these essential disciplines. My personal journey as a programmer, before “girls who code” became a movement, shows how crucial it is to inspire the next generation. Today, my son thrives in the software industry, while my daughter excels as a chemical engineer—proof that STEAM is an integral part of our lives!

This knitting pattern invites you to create a vibrant hat adorned with motifs like rockets, musical notes, computer screens, houses, Bluetooth symbols, DNA helixes, microscopes, and a delightful slice of Pi. Each element is carefully incorporated into the design charts, with slight variations for each of the three sizes: Child, Adult, and Large Adult. Plus, for those who prefer a train-free knitting experience, we've provided two versions of the pattern! To make stranding easier, the position of the word "Steam" has been adjusted throughout the design.
