Straight Arrow Hat

Introducing our beautifully designed hat, created to perfectly complement the Straight Arrow Cowl as a stylish and coordinated set. This hat is not only comfortable and cozy but also a fashionable accessory suitable for babies, children, teens, and adults alike—making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe.

MATERIALS NEEDED: To craft this stunning hat, you will need the following supplies: • Super Fine yarn (3/4 ply) – worked with two strands held together, or alternatively, use Sport weight/Light DK/Fine (5 ply) with a single strand; • For the photo shown, I’ve used Deborah Norville Serenity Sock yarn in a rich Burgundy color while knitting with 2 strands at once; • Circular knitting needle Size 2 (US 2 or 2.75 mm), or a size needed to meet the gauge specified below for the main body of the hat; • A small cable needle (CN) or a small double-pointed needle can be used as well; • Scissors and a tapestry needle for finishing touches.

KNITTING METHOD: This exquisite hat is knitted flat, starting at the bottom, and the sides are sewn together at the end to create a seamless finish. This method ensures that your finished piece maintains an elegant look and provides a snug fit.

STITCHES / TECHNIQUES USED & ABBREVIATIONS: In this pattern, you'll encounter various stitches and techniques that enhance the design’s intricacy: St(s): stitch(es); CN: cable needle; CO: cast on; BO: bind off; k: knit; k2tog: knit 2 together; p2tog: purl 2 together; p: purl; RS: right side; WS: wrong side; 3/3LC and 3/3RC: left moving cable and right moving cable respectively.
