Stricktreff

In Germany, one of the most beloved knitting events where enthusiasts gather is called a „Stricktreff“. These informal meet-ups are the perfect opportunity for knitters to come together to knit, chat, and enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea. When I attend a „Stricktreff“, I like to bring along easy “one skein projects” that allow for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. One of my favorite projects is the „Stricktreff-shawl”, a delightful knit that lets you combine chatting, laughing, and knitting seamlessly. It's the perfect knitting companion for bonding with friends!

For the shawl featured in the pictures, I used just 1 skein of Wollmeise Twin, but you can also opt for any single skein or 100g of your favorite sock yarn. This versatility makes the shawl great for using up leftover yarn in your stash. Whether you're new to knitting or a seasoned pro, this project is approachable and fun, ensuring you can follow along while engaging with your fellow knitters.
