The measurements also include 5” (12.5 cm) from the crook of the thumb to the end, along with a 2.5” (6.5 cm) thumb section. Keep in mind that individual results may vary depending on your unique knitting style and tension; therefore, it is always advisable to create a swatch before starting your project.
The required gauge for this knitting pattern is 15 stitches and 16 rows per 2" (or 5 cm). This stitch gauge will ensure that your mitts turn out beautifully and fit perfectly. To achieve similar results, you will need approximately:
- 70 g of main color (size 3/4)
- 70 g of secondary color (size 3/4)
- 20 g of accent color (size 4)
- Size 0 or 2 mm needles (either double-pointed or circular, your choice)
In my version of this pattern, I used the following materials:
- Red: Berrocco Ultra Alpaca Col. 6281 “Redwood Mix”
- Yellow: Color information lost, but any comparable shade will work!
- Green: Berrocco, possibly Ultra Alpaca Col. 6277 “Peat Mix”
