Sunshine Fingerless Mitts
If you’ve ever enjoyed a Warren Miller movie or spent a blissful day shredding fresh powder at your favorite ski hill, you've likely marveled at those iconic hourglass tracks left behind by fortunate skiers who hit the slopes before anyone else. Inspired by these striking patterns, I’ve designed a unique collection of cables that capture the essence of the snow—one mimicking those beautiful hourglass tracks, another reflecting the spirit of a lone downhiller “shreddin’ the gnar,” and a third representing a skier who simply couldn’t be bothered to turn. I’ve combined these creative cables into a delightful assortment of winter-inspired designs that I’m excited to unveil as the Powder Day Collection. Each pattern within this collection proudly bears the name of one of my favorite powder day ski hills, making it as special as the skiing experiences themselves.
The Sunshine Fingerless Mitts are a standout piece from this collection, featuring a long, cozy cuff and a thoughtfully designed gusseted thumb for maximum comfort and functionality. The back of the mitt showcases an intricate figure-eight cable pattern, flanked on either side by two sets of straight slipped stitch columns, symbolizing those skiers who relentlessly bomb down the run, leaving their mark in the snow. These mitts are not only stylish but also practical, allowing you to keep your hands warm while keeping your fingers free for activities like texting or sipping hot cocoa. Whether you are hitting the slopes or enjoying a winter stroll, the Sunshine Fingerless Mitts offer the perfect blend of warmth and freedom.
Embrace the spirit of winter and showcase your love for the slopes this season with the Sunshine Fingerless Mitts from the Powder Day Collection. You'll not only elevate your knitting project but also craft a stylish accessory that beautifully echoes the thrill of a perfect powder day!
