Tapestry shawl

$5.00

Tapestry Shawl is a beautifully crafted triangle shawl featuring an engaging design of three color blocks. This project is perfect for knitters of all skill levels due to its simple construction. The shawl is worked flat, with an increase of 3 stitches achieved by casting on every 4 rows, followed by a decrease of 3 stitches every 4 rows until completion. This unique method allows the shawl to grow in a delightful staircase pattern, making it easy to enjoy the gradual color transitions with each ‘stair’ step.

This captivating design was first published by Biscotte Yarns in October 2021 and is now also available on LoveCrafts for a wider audience!

For this project, you'll need Biscotte Yarns – DK Pure, a high-quality blend of 90% Merino Superwash and 10% Silk, providing a luxurious feel with a lovely drape (238m/260yds per 100g skein). You'll require the following colors: C1 - Gris-Gris: 1 skein, C2 - Une chance qu’on s’a: 1 skein, and C3 - Aigue Marine: 1 skein.

Tools needed include 3.5mm Circular needles (US #4) with an 80cm (32") cable, as well as a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

GAUGE: Achieve 20 stitches and 26 rows = 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch and 18 stitches and 26 rows = 10 cm in Garter Stitch to ensure perfect fit and drape.

NOTE: Prior to starting your shawl, it’s essential to weigh the yarns you’re using. Split the total yarn amount in half: use the first half for the Increase Section and the second half for the Decrease Section. If the quantities of each color vary, always use the smallest amount as a reference to ensure even distribution.

Experience the joy of creating your own stunning Tapestry Shawl that not only enhances your wardrobe but also showcases your knitting skills!
