Yarn Choices: For this enchanting hat, you'll need two fingering weight/4 ply yarns that provide an appealing color contrast. I personally selected Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift in a stunning ivory-white for my solid yarn. Complementing this, I used a tonal variegated hand-dyed Peruvian wool from the artisan brand, Art and Yarn, which adds a unique touch. Alternatively, this hat looks equally striking when crafted from two contrasting solid colors. Whether you choose wool or acrylic yarns, you’ll achieve delightful results in this design.
Construction and Skills: The hat features ribbing created through stranded knitting techniques, while the rest of the colorwork is achieved using one yarn per row. The stitches in the second color are simply slipped, making it accessible to knitters of various skill levels.
