The Knitting Octopus

$4.35

The Knitting Octopus is a delightful and whimsical project that will bring joy to anyone who creates it. With its charmingly jaunty hat, this knitted octopus is a fantastic addition to your collection of handmade crafts! In this comprehensive pattern, you will find all the detailed instructions you need to create your very own knitting octopus. Please note that this project involves several intricate parts and is not recommended for complete beginners; it combines both knitting and crochet techniques, making it perfect for those with a bit of experience.

This vibrant octopus is crafted using Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift, a 2-ply 100% wool yarn that offers 105 meters (115 yards) per 25 grams (0.88 oz) of fingering weight. Here are the specific colors I used for my finished project. You'll find that only a small amount of each contrasting color (CC) is required, so feel free to utilize similar weight yarns you may already have instead of purchasing entire skeins.

Octopus Body: Main Color (MC): Sand (1 ball)
