The Peephole Stole - knitting pattern

The Peephole Stole

$7.00

This stunning knitted stole is an innovative re-envisioning of how to use a gradient yarn. Rather than following the typical gradient order, I've creatively utilized the different colors in the gradient set to form striking stripes with varying levels of contrast. This design allows the gradient to truly shine, while the textural simplicity of mosaic-style colorwork and delicate lace knitting adds just the right amount of intrigue to keep both the piece and the knitting experience enjoyable and engaging.

The sample for this beautiful stole was crafted using the exquisite gradient set Carmen from Miss Babs, renowned for their high-quality yarns. However, any of her delightful 6-skein gradient sets would work perfectly for this project. If you prefer a more minimalist approach, this design can also be beautifully executed in just two contrasting colors. For the best results, you will need approximately 400 yards of each color.

If you're excited to see the stole in action, don't miss out on the video tour available on my YouTube Channel here. This visual guide will give you a closer look at the intricate details and beauty of the piece.

The pattern itself features simple decreases, double yarn overs, and slipped stitches, making it approachable for a range of skill levels. For an experienced knitter, this project will provide a satisfying experience of TV knitting, while advanced beginners will find it entirely workable with a bit of focus. Embrace this opportunity to enhance your knitting skills while creating a gorgeous stole that you will love to wear and showcase. Whether you're knitting for yourself or preparing a thoughtful gift, this pattern is sure to impress!
