Thistles
In loving memory of Karrie Steinmetz, known as Knitpurlgurl, who profoundly inspired my journey in sharing knitting designs with the world.
From the moment I encountered this enchanting flower motif pattern, it was love at first sight. The delicate shapes reminiscent of thistles, Scotland's cherished floral emblem, captivated my imagination. When knitted in a graceful row, these thistles create a majestic appearance that’s truly breathtaking. This stunning shawl is lovingly dedicated to my dear Scottish friend, Julie, and her beloved royal thistles. The shawl is crafted from the bottom up, seamlessly integrating lace on both the beginning and ending sections of the piece. In between, the stockinette stitch showcases elegant decreases and strategic short rows, culminating in a delicate crescent shape that gently drapes on your shoulders.
The pattern is available free with the purchase of 2 skeins of our luxurious SkeinSilk/Cashmere Lace from [Yarn Over Berlin.][1]
