Tied In Knots
When I designed these unique mittens, I aimed for a fresh twist on the classic bobble. I wanted a charming detailing that lays flat, adding a fun touch while providing texture. One of my favorite features is the longer arms of the mittens, which not only offer extra warmth but also allow for a slight positive ease, ensuring the mitts aren't tight or clingy against your skin.
For an enjoyable knitting experience, I highly recommend using metal needles for these mitts. The knots can be somewhat tight, making wooden or bamboo needles less effective. This pattern is specially crafted with TAAT (Two At A Time) knitters in mind, offering a streamlined approach to knitting both mittens simultaneously. At the start, the stitches are conveniently divided to eliminate the need for shifting stitches when you begin the thumb gusset, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable project. These mittens not only look fabulous but are also practical for colder weather, making them an essential addition to your winter wardrobe!
