Just a century ago, approximately 100,000 majestic tigers roamed the Earth, but due to severe threats such as habitat loss and illegal poaching for their body parts, their population has dwindled to a mere 4,000-4,500 in the wild today. Tragically, three subspecies have already gone extinct, while the remaining six subspecies are under constant threat.
