This knitting pattern accommodates various premature baby sizes, including:

• Prem 0: For babies weighing up to 1.5 lbs (0.7 kg)
• Prem 1: For babies weighing between 1.5 - 3.5 lbs (0.7 - 1.6 kg)
• Prem 2: For babies weighing 3.5 - 5.5 lbs (1.6 - 2.5 kg)
• Prem 3: For babies weighing 5.5 - 7.5 lbs (2.5 - 3.4 kg)
• Newborn: For babies weighing 7.5 lbs - 10 lbs (3.4 - 4.5 kg)

To ensure a perfect fit, these sizes correspond to approximate measurements for heads (inches): 8 (Prem 0), 10 (Prem 1), 12 (Prem 2), 14 (Prem 3), and 16 (Newborn). In centimeters, that’s 21, 25, 30, 35, and 40 respectively.

For tiny feet, the measurements are approximately: 1 5/8 (Prem 0), 2 (Prem 1), 2 3/8 (Prem 2), 2 3/4 (Prem 3), and 3 1/8 inches (Newborn), or 4 (Prem 0), 5 (Prem 1), 6 (Prem 2), 7 (Prem 3), and 8 cm (Newborn) respectively.
