Sizes: This pattern accommodates a variety of head sizes, including Small Child/Adult XS, Medium Child/Adult Small, Large Child/Adult Medium, Adult Large, and Adult XL. The sizes correspond to head measurements of 17", 18", 20", 22", and 23.5" (43.2, 45.7, 50.8, 55.9, and 59.7 cm). The finished hats measure approximately 13.33", 14.25", 16", 17.75", and 19.5" (34, 36.2, 40.6, 45, and 50 cm) respectively. Keep in mind that knitted hats should be 10-20% smaller than the actual head size to fit snugly and stay in place. These sizes are thoughtfully calculated to be around 15% less than the target head size.

Yarn: To achieve the best results using my stitch counts and gauge, you will need 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) 50g ball of Main Color (MC1) aran or heavy worsted-weight yarn, preferably in a solid or nearly-solid color, with approximately 95-104 yards per 100g ball. Additionally, for the Contrasting Color (CC), you will require 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) 50g ball, and you might be pleased to know I used just under 25g for a single Adult Large hat. The same amount of grams applies if you're working with thinner yarns. This pattern not only ensures a snug fit but also serves as a fantastic way to showcase your favorited colors and textures!
