One of my students vividly described her experience while working on this project, saying she felt as if she were in New York, gazing down at the impressive skyscrapers. This inspired the name Tower Blocks. The optical illusion created by this design is so captivating that another young student eagerly looked underneath, convinced there must be ‘the other cube’ hidden there. He was certain that each block contained eight cubes but could only spot seven, demonstrating the enchanting complexity of this pattern.

This unique Afghan design employs three primary colours along with a variety of shades of grey to create stunning light and shade effects that enhance its geometric appeal. You are free to explore your creativity by selecting yarns of your choice; in this design, I opted for Aran for the main colours and 4-ply for the greys.
