Tulipa
Discover the Tulipa Shawl pattern, now featured in my new e-book [Primavera][1], an Eco-friendly collection showcasing 5 original shawl designs that celebrate both beauty and sustainability.
The Tulipa is a stunning shallow crescent-shaped shawl that is knitted from the top down, beautifully illustrating a delicate lace pattern reminiscent of little tulips emerging from a textured garter stitch background. This unique design not only adds a romantic touch to your wardrobe but also allows for customization; the pattern is easily adjustable by simply working more or fewer repeats of the lace motif as desired. To ensure a polished finish, two options for the bind-off are included: a lovely picot bind-off and a stretchy elastic bind-off, catering to your personal preferences.
It’s important to note that I recommend knitting the first and last stitches loosely, as well as the increases (made with M1R and M1L) near the edges. This careful technique will help prevent a tight cast-off edge, allowing your Tulipa shawl to lay beautifully against your shoulders.
